PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Village police charged Cody T. Brothers, 16, of 10 Dodge St., Massena, and a 14-year-old male with fourth-degree mischief and petit larceny at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday on Woodlawn Avenue. Police responded to a complaint that the two young men had removed a GPS unit from Nicole Schoefells vehicle parked at 12 Grinnell Ave. The GPS unit was damade, police said. Brothers was released on an appearance ticket for July 10 in Massena Village Court. The juveniles case will be turned over to the probation department for possibile petitioning to family court.
ASSAULT - MASSENA - Village police charged a 14-year-old male juvenile with third-degree assault Wednesday following an investigation into a complaint that he had injured an 11-year-old male in an altercation at a popular swimming spot off the Center Street extension. Police said the 11 year old suffered minor injuries.
RED LIGHT - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Hunter Favreau, 18, of Massena for illegally passing a red loight following a traffic stop at 11:01 p.m. Tuesday on Main Street near East Orvis Street.
SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Robert W. Henhawk, 34, o Akwesasne for speed in zone following a traffic stop at 3:04 p.m. Monday on East Hatfield Street.
