CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - MASSENA - Village police charged William P. Rochefort, 17, of 107 Stoughton Ave., Massena, with two counts of second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief Sunday night. He was arraigned by Massena Village Justice Eric J. Gustafson and was released after posting $1,000 cash bail.

The charges stemmed from a domestic dispute Rochefort reportedly had with his mother, Melanie McDonald, at 10:49 p.m. Sunday. He reportedly grabbed his mother during an argument and pinned her to the floor. He then removed the battery from her phone after she threatened to call the police for assistance. Rochefort had reportedly been kicked out of his mother’s residence the previous night after he ripped up a family photo and kicked out several spindles on the front porch.

SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Gerald A. Serge, 40, of Massena for speed in zone following a traffic stop at 11:19 a.m. Sunday on the South Raquette River Road.
