Brian L. Roach, 36, of 1218 Gill St., was charged by Watertown police at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday with petit larceny.

It is alleged that he left Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, 1222 Arsenal St., without paying for a $169 Bissell carpet cleaner, placed the cleaner in his vehicle and drove away. He is due to answer the charge in City Court.
