SU has BCSs toughest non-conference schedule
SYRACUSE The Syracuse University football team topped the Sporting News annual ranking of toughest non-conference schedules among BCS schools, which was recently released.
The Orange will host Northwestern (Sept. 1), Southern California (Sept. 8, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.), and Stony Brook (Sept. 15), while playing road games at Minnesota (Sept. 22) and at Missouri (Nov. 17).
Michigan, Miami, South Florida and Clemson rounded out the top five.
Big East teams will play 41 percent of their non-conference games against BCS squads, which is the second most among the six major conferences, trailing only the Atlantic Coast Conference with 48 percent.
