Trimm held in jail

CANTON — Murder suspect Dustin J. Trimm was ordered held in St. Lawrence County jail without bail Friday by St. Lawrence County Judge Jerome J. Richards.

Trimm, 37, of 325 County Route 49, Winthrop, had been free on bail in the alleged 2010 murder of 21-year-old Jason Wing when he was arrested by state police Wednesday on charges of patronizing a prostitute, unlawfully dealing with a child and endangering the welfare of a child.

He is to be arraigned on the charges Wednesday.

Also Friday in St. Lawrence County Court:

Floyd H. Smith Jr., 24, of 555 Irish Settlement Road, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree grand larceny, satisfying six forgery counts and multiple petit larceny charges pending against him.

Mr. Smith admitted he stole a credit card from a wallet he found in a men’s locker room May 14 at Massena Memorial Hospital. He is to make restitution of $336 and is to be sentenced Sept. 17.

Alan D. Facey, 33, Harrisville, pleaded guilty to aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Mr. Facey admitted he drove while drunk April 6 on Route 3 in the town of Fine while he had a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old with him. His blood alcohol content was 0.11 percent. The state’s legal threshold for DWI is 0.08 percent BAC. He was charged with a felony under Leandra’s Law for having minors under the age of 15 with him. Mr. Facey is to be sentenced Sept. 24.
