FORGED INSTRUMENT - WADDINGTON - St. Lawrence County Sheriffs Department deputies recently charged Michael B. Middlemiss, 23, of 182 state Route 345, Potsdam, with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrumentstemming from an ongoing investigation into the larceny of four business checks. It is alleged Middlemiss possessed three of the four checks that had been stolen by Kayla OBrien from a family members residence in June in the town of Waddington. Middlemiss reportedly cashed three checks worth $1,750.Middlemiss was arraigned in Waddington Town Court by Judge Lawrence Sears and was released to his mother. OBrien had previously been charged for her role in the incident.
