PAROLE WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Jeremiah D. Deshane, 28, of 101 Andrews St., Massena, on a parole warrant Wednesday night. He was turned over to the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department and transported to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility. Deshane had been sentenced to two and a half to five years in prison in July 2010 for a third-degree burglary conviction. He was released under parole supervision on Feb. 21. The maximum expiration date of his sentence is Jan. 19, 2015.

PAROLE WARRANT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Shawn Mitchell, 36, of 19 Colgate Drive, Massena, on a parole warrant Wednesday afternoon. He was transported to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility. Mitchell had been sentenced to two years in state prison for a December 2010 conviction for second-degree criminal sale of marijuana. He had been released under parole supervision on Feb. 13. The maximum expiration date of his sentence is Feb. 13, 2013.

CELL PHONE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Margret M. Parmeter, 27, of Norfolk for usig her cell phone while operating a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 3:12 p.m. Wednesday on East Orvis Street.
