CANTON — A car became stuck on a concrete barricade after an accident outside 75 Main St. at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Richard Huber, 79, Watertown, struck the barricade, which was blocking a construction site, after his brakes apparently failed, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.

The Canton Rescue Squad responded to the scene.
