"BRASHER FALLS - The Tri-Town Summer Festival Committee is excited to announce the dates for the annual Tri-Town Summer Festival.

This year, the festival is scheduled for Aug. 2 – Aug. 5. Appropriately, this summer’s theme is “Celebrate the Olympic Spirit.”

The festival will hold numerous events for every age group and interest. Many of the festival favorites will take continue this year, including the Cory Jock Home Run Derby, The Duck/Turtle Race, the 5K Walk/Run, the fireworks display, the carnival of fun, the outdoor movie, and the parade. This year will also feature several new events, including a two-man decathlon, a co-ed kickball tournament, a torch/baton relay, and a ‘Getting It Done Obstacle Challenge’—geared toward children and adults facing disabilities. Brasher will also be hosting the SLC Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. that Thursday, and the classes of 1982 and 1987 reunions are planned for Saturday. Each year, a portion of the Summer Festival earrings is given to a local elementary or middle school student wishing to attend a summer camp. This year’s winner is Kyle Foster.
