AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - NORFOLK - Massena-based stare police charged Justin P. Woodward, 23, of Norwood with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 6:45 a.m. Monday on County Route 38 in the town of Norfolk. He was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and ticketed for speeding (over 55 mph). He was released on an appearance ticket.



CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - LOUISVILLE - Massena-based state police charged Randy L. Barney, 44, of Massena with second-degree criminal contempt Monday night after he allegedly made approximately eight phone calls and used Facebook and text messages to contact his ex-girlfriend, Linda Tyo. The court had issued a temporary stay away order of protection on June 3 when Barney was charged following a domestic dispute.

He had been charged with third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing and fourth-degree criminal mischief following a domestic dispute at 1:15 a.m. June 3 at the Ms. Tyo’s residence on County Route 43 in the town of Louisville.

Barney allegedly grabbed Ms. Tyo by the throat, preventing her from breathing, punched her in the head several times and damaged her cell phone during the domestic dispute.

He was arraigned on the criminal contempt count late Monday night by Massena Justice James M. Crandall and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $500 cash or $1,000 bond.



BURGLARY - FORT COVINGTON - Malone-based state police charged John J. Boyea, 40, of Fort Covington woth second-degree burglary Monday following a complaint reported to troopers at 5:10 p.m. He was taken into custody a 9:45 p.m. Monday at 554 Frye Road. Boyea was arraigned in local court and sent to the Franklin County Jail.



BURGLARY - MOIRA - Malone-based state police charged Krissy A. White, 18, of Snye, Que., and Nolan T. Cooke, 16, of Fort Covington with third-degree burglary following an incident reported at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday from the town of Moira. They were arraigned in local court and sent to the Franklin County Jail.



ASSAULT - WESTVILLE - Malone-based state police charged Michael J. Moulton, 16, of 386 Smith Road, Brasher Center, with third-degree assault Sunday stemming from an investigation into an incident reported to troopers May 6 from the town of Westville. He is the third teen to be charged with third-degree assault in connection with that investigation. Aaron J. Cummings, 18, of Constable was charged on July 5 and Jordan R. King, 16, of Constable was charged on July 9.



PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police investigated a one-vehicle property damage accident at 3 p.m. Sunday on County Route 14 near Westway Road in the town of Potsdam. Troopers said the vehicle was being operated by Matthew L. Stone, 53, of Madrid.



FOUR-VEHICLE ACCIDENT - DUANE - Malone-based state police investigated a four-vehicle property damage accident at 9:20 p.m. Sunday on state Route 458 near state Route 30 in the town of Duane. Troopers said the vehicles were being operated by Kimberly P. Beaulac, 39, of West Chazy; Deanna L. Seymour, 24, of West Chazy; Connie S. Legacy, 44, of Malone; and James A. Belgarde. 73, of Norfolk.
