CARTHAGE — Carthage Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Lori Borland is urging people to take part in a vote for the favorite north country farmers market.

The balloting is part of an initiative by state Sen. Patricia A. Ritchie, R-Heuvelton, to promote farmers markets.

The Carthage Farmers Market is open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays at the pavilion on Riverside Drive through Oct. 26.
