UTICA - The 35th Annual Utica Boilermaker 15K race was held on July 8th with 11,359 runners taking part in the which has become a true happening in the Northeast road racing circuit.

Ethiopia’s Tilahun Regassa, 22, finished the race in 43:01 for first place followed by Kenya’s Peter Cheruiyot Kirui in 43:32.

Tupper Lake’s Michael Schram, 21, and Canton’s Jeff Lyndaker, 39, were the two top area finishers. Schram placed 62nd overall in 52:55 and Lyndaker filled the 130th place in 56:28. Ogdensburg’s Zach Dodge took 139 in 56:28.

Stephanie Rogers of Potsdam was the top female North Country finisher locally in 1:04.36.Nancy Skiff of Ogdensburg was fourth in her age group 70-74 with a time of 2:30.05.
