"MASSENA — A Massena man was cited with disobeying an order of protection at 9:19 p.m. Monday.

Randy L. Barney, 44, of 305 River Road, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt.

Mr. Barney allegedly called and sent text messages to the mother of a woman who holds an order of protection against him, troopers said. Neither woman’s name was released.

Mr. Barney was jailed in St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $500 bail or $1,000 bond.
