■ The City Council has agreed to give the employees of the Watertown Housing Authority a 1.5 percent cost-of-living raise, retroactive to July 1.

n GOUVERNEUR — Village Republicans will caucus at 9 a.m. Saturday in the municipal building to pick candidates for three seats on the village Board of Trustees.

n POTSDAM — A new four-way stop at Cedar and Main streets will take effect Monday. Visibility problems at the intersection led to frequent accidents, which led to the installation of the new stop signs.
