CANTON— A Canton man was arrested Thursday by St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies following a domestic dispute.

Michael A. Hooper, 33, of 6258 Route 11, Lot 30, was charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief.

Deputies were called to Lot 30 of the Champion Trailer Park after an argument was reported. After investigation, it was determined that Mr. Hooper ripped the purse off the woman he was arguing with, leading to the criminal mischief charge.

He was arraigned in Canton town court and released on his own recognizance.
