MASSENA - On Aug. 9, the Northern New York Men’s and Women’s Senior Golf Championship will be held at he Massena Country Club. The organizers of the event thank the Community Bank, N.A. for sponsoring the tournament.

The tournament will have over $3,500 in prizes to be awarded to the net, gross, and special prize winners. Last year over 170 golfers played in the event.

The tournament will be divided into six flights. The flights include: 50 to 54 years of age, 55 to 59 years of age, 60 to 64 years of age, 65 to 69 years of age, 70 to 74 years of age, and 75 years and older. Prizes will be awarded to both net and gross winners.

The day will begin with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start and will conclude with a dinner and awards ceremony at approximately 5:30 p.m. The entry fee includes the cart fee and is $47 for Massena Country Club members and $65 for non-members. For anyone who would like to walk, the entry fee is $35 for members and $50 for non-members. The entry fee covers the entire day’s activities.
