CHASE MILLS - Nine people lost their home Tuesday afternoon when fire swept through their trailer on County Route 14.
Louisville firefighters and Massena Rescue were toned out to the structure fire at the Joanne Yerdon residence at 5494 County Route 14 at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday. The rental property is owned by Lloyd Seguin.
Volunteer firefighters from Madrid, Waddington and Norfolk provided mutual aid, and Seaway Valley Ambulance also responded to the fire scene. Fire departments from Morley and Lisbon provided mutual aid.
One firefighters suffered a minor injury at the fire scene.
Fire investigators said the cause of the fire remains under investigation and declared the property a total loss.
A vehicle parked next to the trailer was also heavily damaged.
Louisville Fire reported back in service shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday.
