POTSDAM - The Lounge clinched the top seed for the North Country Women’s Soccer playoffs by closing out the regular season with a 3-0 win over Harrisville at the SUNY Potsdam turf field on Tuesday.

Defending playoff champion Dow Electric gained the second seed via a 2-1 decision over Massena Savings and Loan while the other two games on Tuesday saw Ton’s Sports Bar shade Norwood-Norfolk 2-1 and Edwards-Knox battle Heuvelton to a 4-4 draw.

The Lounge and Dow Electric finished tied atop the regular season standings with 9-1 records.

The playoffs open on Thursday with The Lounge hosting Canton at the SUNY Potsdam Rt. 56 field, Dow Electric taking on Harrisville at Pine Street Park, FC Freeze welcoming N-N to the J Lot Field at SLU and Massena Savings and Loan playing host to Akwesasne Sports at Mike Nicholas Field. All four quarter-final round games kick-off at 6 p.m.

The Lounge 9-1, Dow Electric 9-1, FC Freeze 8-2, Massena Savings and Loan 4-5-1, Akwesasne Sports 4-5-1, Norwood-Norfolk 4-6, Harrisville 4-6, Canton 3-6-1, E-K 3-6-1, Ton’s 3-7, Heuvelton 1-7-2.
