MASSENA - The USS Edson, a decommisioned U.S. Navy destroyed being towed to Michigan by two tugs, moved ahead of schedule overnight and was expected to pass through Eisenhower Lock by 4:15 a.m. Thursday. The vessel, enroute to a naval museum in Bay City on Michigans Upper Peninsula, was approaching Snell Lock at 3:30 a.m. The destroyed had initially been expected to pass through Eisenhower Lock between 7 and 8 a.m. this morning.
