Late goal lifts Ron’s Agridrainage to NNY Box Lacrosse tie


BRASHER FALLS - A last-second goal lifted Ron’s Agridrainage to a 15-15 tie with Enbridge St. Lawrence Gas while B&W Quick Stop outlasted Massena Savings and Loan 15-13 in the Northern New York Box Lacrosse High School Division games played on Wednesday at the Tri-Town Arena.

The Elementary Division game saw Dow Electric outscore Adirondack Aikido 8-6 while the Reds handled the Whites 24-11 in the Adult Division matchup.

Ogdensburg Pepsi once again sponsored Player of the Game awards for the two High School Division games and the Elementary Division contest.


Ron’s 15, Enbridge SLG 15: Player of the game Nick Henrie converted on a full lenghth pass from Blake Baldwin with just one second remaining to pull Ron’s into the hard-fought tie. Henrie finished with a pair of goals while Baldwin wound up with two goals and two assists. Zach Ward 91 assist) and Sam Gerber contributed three goals apiece.

For Enbridge St. Lawrence Gas, Bobby Todd netted four goals to earn player of the game status. Cody Burns and Evan Kassian generated three goals each while Tyler Kowalchuk handed out three assists.

B&W Quick Stop 15, Massena S&L 13: Owen Kowalchuk had two goals and an assist to earn player of the game honors in the winning effort. Ian Lynch fashioned six goals and one assist. Jeff Bain had a goal and assist while Trent Dow logged two helpers.

Ben Sprague scored three times as player of the game for Massena S&L. Luke Colllins produced four goals and an assist while Kyle Montroy notched a hattrick.

Sharing crease duties through the course of the two High School Division games were; Kody Kocsis (23 saves, 4 assists), Cash Feeley (22 saves), Kyle Cooke (21 saves), Parker Hornung (7 saves) and Joel Hinckley (7 saves).


Dow Electric 8, Adirondack Aikido 6: Player of the game Colby Dobbins anchored a balanced attack for Dow Electric with a goal and assist. Casey Hooper also tallied a goal and assist while Tyler Bethel chipped in a solo goal and Carter Bordeleau made seven saves backstopping the win.

Matt Berg scored twice in claiming player of the game honors for Adirondack Aikido. Jayden Ashley had a solo goal and Cash Feeley handled four of the shots he faced tending goal.


Reds 24, Whites 11: Cody Kilcoyne led the winning attack with seven goals. Kevin Logan logged five goals and two assists while Ian Helmer recorded four goals and four helpers. Connor McCuin stopped 16 shots for the win.

Jake McLaughlin paced the Whites with three goals and an assist. Charlie Dullea added three goals while Camden Durant chipped in two goals and one assist. Brian LaBier made 17 saves in the loss.

Monday’s Games: Elementary Division 5:30 p.m.; High School Division - Enbridge St. Lawrence Gas 6:30 p.m., Massena Savings and Loan vs. Ron’s Agridrainage 7:30 p.m.; Adult Division 8:30 p.m.
