BROWNVILLE — Ryan M. Bladek, 32, of 15496 County Route 59, Brownville, faces an assault and other charges after he allegedly resisted arrest during a domestic dispute at his home on Monday morning.

Jefferson County Sheriff deputies charged Mr. Bladek with second-degree assault, second-degree falsely reporting an incident, resisting arrest, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, criminal mischief and second-degree harassment,

Deputies said he injured Deputy Shawn Ryan by hitting him in the face, threw items at Jennifer J. Bladek in the presence of 4-, 7- and 9-year-old children and falsely told deputies his wife threatened to stab him. He also allegedly damaged a patrol car.

He was sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building on $5,000 bail, pending an arraignment.
