PEDESTRIAN CROSSING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Mary C. Carlisle, 22, of Nicholville for failure to stop for pedestrian in crosswalk following a traffic stop at 10:50a.m. Thursday on Main Street. Police said Carlisle failed to stop for a pedestrian in a crosswalk by the Roxy Theater.

8:47am- A patrol responded to a road hazard on Canal Street.DPW was contacted to rectify the problem.

8:48am- A resident called and stated a vehicle is stopped and running on Washington Street with nobody in it and the car stereoblasting disturbing the neighborhood. A patrol was dispatched.

9:37am- Assisted a resident in getting a handicap parking permit.

10:06am- A patrol responded to Mayfield apartments for a medical emergency.

10:50am- Traffic stop initiated. Ticketissued for failure to stop for a pedestrian in a crosswalk

12:10pm- Patrol requested to respond to a local business for a problem with an employee.

2:10pm- Patrol followed up on previous complaint and banned former employees from a local business after a reported scene was caused in the store.

2:45pm- Patrol dispatched to a 2 car motor vehicle accident on Market Street.

2:54pm- Handled a complaint involving a custody dispute

3:06pm - Patrol responded to a parking complaint on Maple Street.

3:30pm- A patrol responded to Swan Street for 911 hang up call. A patrol responded and found that everything was OK, and the party was having phone problems.

3:35pm- Assisted an individual get a handicap parking permit.

4:23pm- Received a report of lost property.

4:42pm- Dispatched Potsdam Rescue to a call at Mayfield Apartments.

6:25pm- A patrol was dispatched to check on dogs that were left in a vehicle on Elm St. The patrol found that the animal was fine in the vehicle and not in any distress.

6:34pm- Patrol dispatched to check on a low hanging wire on Market Street.

7:03pm- Patrol dispatched to a local business for an employee dispute.

7:25pm- Received a call of a sexual assault that occurred. Investigation continues.

7:56pm-Received report of a motorcycle driving recklessly on Leroy Street.

8:55pm- NYS Learner’s Permit found at Fall Island off of Maple Streetturned in to PPD.

10:52pm- Received report of furniture dumped off at a property on Garden Street.

11:36pm- Received report of an intoxicated male subject on Leroy Street.
