CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Rachel M. Keusch, 23, of 438 Main Street North, Alexandria, Ont., with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following a secondary inspection of her motor vehicle conducted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents stationed at the Rooseveltown Port of Entry. Troopers said an inbound inspection revealed Keusch was in possession of methamphetamine. She was found with 2 1/2 ecstacy tablets in her purse, according to court documents. She was arraigned by Brasher Town Justice John Burns and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $500 cash. She is scheduled to appear Aug. 8 in the town of Massena Court.

PERSONAL INJURY ACCIDENT - MASSENA - Village police investigated a bicycle accident at 12:41 p.m. Thursday on the Main Street bridge. Police said witnesses told them the bicyclist, identified as Linda Austin, 63, of Massena, was southbound on the curb when she drove off the curb, overcorrected, struck the curb and was flipped her bicycle. Ms. Austin was transported to Massena Memorial Hospital by Massena Rescue for treatment of a head injury. Witnesses told police Ms. Austin struck her head on the curb when she was thrown to the pavement.

SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Rachel A. Stender, 27, of Norfolk with speed in zone following a traffic stop at 10:31 a.m. Thursday on South Racquette River Road.

CELL PHONE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Jeanine R. Manley, 60, of Limekiln Road, Malone, for using a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday on Main Street.

SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed John L. Hughes, 55, of Massena for speed in zone following a traffic stop at 3:58 p.m. Wednesday on the Willow Street Extension.

UNINSPECTED MOTOR VEHICLE - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Geneva L. Goble, 36, of Massena for operation of an uninspected motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 2:51 p.m. Wednesday on the Maple Street Extension.

AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT - POTSDAM - Norfolk-based state police charged Cooper L. Bond, 20, of Norfolk with aggravated harassment following an incident reported at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday from the town of Potsdam.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - MOIRA - Malone-based state police charged Egbert L. Winters, 44, of North Bangor with a felony first-degree criminal contempt following a complaint received at 3:57 p.m. Wednesday from the town of Moira. Troopers said he was arraigned in local court and sent to the Franklin County Jail.

ASSAULT - FORT COVINGTON - Malone-based state police charged Shawn M. Webster, 35, of Fort Covington with third-degree assault and unlawful possession of marijuana following a complaint received at 5:39 p.m. Wednesday from the town of Fort Covington. He was arraigned in local court, and bail was set at $500.

DWI - ST. REGIS FALLS - Malone-based state police charged Kyle D. Feeley, 27, of Lewis with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday on the South River Road in the town of Waverly.
