MASSENA - The Massena Rotary Tournament for 11-12 year-olds gets underway this evening when the host Massena Major All-Star take on their Knapps Station counterparts at Leo LaShomb Field starting at 6 p.m.
A total of 13 teams from around the North Country and beyond will be competing for top honors. Games are slated to resume Saturday morning and continue through the early evening. Second-round games begin at 8 a.m. on Sunday with the championship game slated to start at 4 p.m. at LaShomb Field.
Games are also scheduled to be staged at the Bushnell Field diamonds.
The teams are split into two divisions for the first round. Massena and is competing in the American Division along with Peru, Thousand Islands, Cornwall, Kemptville and Orleans.
Knapps Station is part of the National Division along with Ogdensburg, Malone, Canton, Plattsburgh, Pinecrest and WCBI of Watertown.

Friday: Massena vs. Knapps Station (6 p.m., LaShomb Field).
Saturday: Cornwall vs. Malone (9 a.m., LaShomb Field), Ogdensburg vs. Kemptville (9 a.m., Bushnell 1), Massena vs. Canton (11 a.m., LaShomb Field), Orleans vs. Plattsburgh (11 a.m., Bushnell 1), WCBI vs. Peru (1 p.m., LaShomb Field), Kemptville vs. Knapps Station (1 p.m., Bushnell 1), Cornwall vs. Ogdensburg (3 p.m., LaShomb Field), Malone vs. Orleans (3 p.m., Bushnell 1), Canton vs. TI (3 p.m., Bushnell 2), Peru vs. Pinecreast (5 p.m., LaShomb Field), Plattsburgh vs. WCBI (5 p.m., Bushnell 1).
Sunday: 8 a.m.-4 p.m. - To be determined.
