Despite a Watertown womans claim that she used her debit card at the gas pump, she was charged Thursday with stealing gasoline.
Tamarra A. Goodall, 28, of 612 Water St., is summoned to appear in town of Rutland Court for arraignment on a charge of petit larceny.
She is accused of driving off shortly before noon Thursday after pumping gasoline for a total of $83.34 at Stewarts Shop, 28715 Route 3, according to the sheriffs office. The department disclosed Ms. Goodalls explanation that she had used her debit card and believed that the transaction had been accepted.
Ms. Goodall was convicted of petit larceny in Jefferson County Court in 2004 for cashing another persons $2,000 check.
