Nicole E. Hargis, 28, of 27882 Route 342, Black River, was arrested Thursday by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department on five counts of rape.

She also is charged with single counts of third-degree criminal sexual act and second-degree sexual abuse.

The sheriff’s office alleged she carried on sexual acts with a 14- to 16-year-old boy between January 2011 and last June, according to documents filed in town of LeRay Court.

Town Justice John W. Hallett set bail at $15,000, sending her to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building. She awaits grand jury action.
