Former Frontier League wrestling coaches, Neal Aubel of Lowville and Wayne Ferguson from Beaver River, will be inducted into the Upstate New York Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame on Sunday, Sept. 16 at the Double Tree Hotel in East Syracuse.

Aubel retired in 2002 after his 36th season as head wrestling coach. In that time, he accumulated 465 career victories, a state record at the time of his retirement. Aubel’s teams won 11 league titles and 15 class titles.

Ferguson led the Beavers’ program for 33 years, tallying 518 victories, 10 class titles and seven undefeated seasons. He retired in 2007.

Both coaches are members of the Section 3 Wrestling Hall of Fame.
