DISORDERLY CONDUCT - POTSDAM - Village police charged Michaela A. Bartlett, 17, of Potsdam wtih secon-degree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest andunlawful possession of alcohol following an incident at 3:15 a.m. Sunday on Maple Street. She was arraigned in local court and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond. Police said they observed several people on the roof of an apartment building on Maple Street.Their investigation revealed an underage drinking party. Police said their investigation continues and further charges are pending.



SPEEDING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Samuel R. Brown, 24, of Market Street, Potsdam, for speed in zone following a traffic stop at 3:40 p.m. Saturday on Clarkson Avenue. Police said Brown was traveling 52 mph in a 30 mph zone.



SPEEDING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed June M. Peoples, 48, of Hanson Road, Colton, for speed in zone following a traffic stop at 11:58 a.m. Saturday on Clarkson Avenue. She was reportedly traveling 44 mph in a 30 mph zone.



FAILURE TO YIELD - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Scott M. White, 19, of Snell Road, South Colton, for failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian following a traffic stop at 11:18 a.m. Saturday on Main Street.



FAILURE TO YIELD - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Irving Lafountain, 64, of Colton for failure to yield the right of way to a a pedestrian folowing a traffic stop at 10:56 a.m. Saturday on Main Street.

0037 While on patrol an officer observed damage to a flag pole bracket which is used to support a flag which indicates that the farmer’s market is open. Investigation to continue.

0057 Patrol observed several individuals on the Pine Street Beach after hours. Subjects were warned and patrol clear without incident.

0212 Patrol received a report of a person going through vehicles in the Main Street parking lot. Patrols responded and located the subject. Investigation continues.

0226 Patrols responded to a Maple Street address for a large party. Arrest made.

0556 Report of an alarm malfunction. Patrols responded.

1119 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Maple Street. The operator was issued a verbal warning.

1127 Patrols assisted an “Autism Bike Run” with traffic control at the intersection of Pine Street and Clarkson Avenue without incident.

1201 Potsdam Rescue dispatched to Norfolk for a male, possible stroke.

1239 Victim of an assault that occurred on this date during the early morning hours entered Potsdam Police Department to report the incident. Investigation continues.

1245 Patrol responded to Canal Street for a neighbor dispute.

1600 Patrol dispatched to assist a village resident with a squirrel in her house.

1602 Patrol responded to report of an unsecure door at a local business.

2117 Patrols responded to assist a village resident with a bat in her house.

0914 Patrols were requested to assist with a traffic control at the intersection of Market Street and Elm Street and again at Lawrence Avenue for a tractor trailer (wide load) coming through the village.Completed without incident.

1055 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Clarkson Avenue. A verbal warning was issued.

1056 Traffic stop. Ticket issued.

1118 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Main Street. Ticket issued.

1158 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Clarkson Avenue. Ticket issued..

1224 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Clarkson Avenue. A verbal warning was issued.

1352 Potsdam Rescue and patrols dispatched to Mayfield for a male who is disoriented.

1442 A New York state driver’s license was found in the Munson Street parking lot belonging to Kenneth R. Thayer.

1503 NCC reports a residential alarm at Midtown Apartments. Patrol dispatched and located the tenant who reports it was an accidental activation. Patrol clear without incident.

1521 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Clarkson Avenue. A verbal warning was issued.

1525 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Bagdad Road. A verbal warning was issued.

1531 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Clarkson Avenue. A verbal warning was issued.

1540 Patrol completed a traffic stop on Clarkson Avenue. Ticket issued.

1652 Patrol received a report of a computer scam, and the investigation is continuing.

1709 Patrols requested to respond to the intersection of Main and Pierrepont Avenue for a group of subjects harassing individuals as they walk pass on the side walk. Patrols responded and spoke with several subjects and issued verbal warnings.

1719Patrols responded to the Lowes Building for a wild animal which wondered into the caged area of the building and it had to be removed.

2055 Traffic stop on Munson Street. Verbal warning issued.

2103 Patrol provided an apartment unlock for a person locked out of their apartment at Debra Drive.

2201 Traffic stop on Clarkson Avenue.Verbal warning issued.

2342 Traffic stop on Maple Street.Verbal warning issued.
