Cody D. O’Connor, 21, of Moira passed away early Saturday, August 4, 2012.

Cody was born June 1, 1991, the son of Keith & Erin (Durkin) O’Connor. He was a 2009 graduate of Brushton-Moira High School. During his high school career, he played hockey for Salmon River Central School, and soccer and baseball with Brushton-Moira High School. Cody was presently a junior at Clarkson University majoring in global supply change management; he was presently serving an internship with the Bombardier Transportation, Plattsburgh, N.Y.

Cody was an avid weight lifter, and when you could not find him at the gym, he could be seen surrounded by his family or his friends. He became a brother of the Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity during his time at Clarkson University.

He is survived by his parents Keith (Charlie) & Erin O’Connor of Moira; a brother Ryan and his fiancée Ashley Sevey of Brushton; maternal grandmother Mary Durkin of Brasher Falls; his paternal grandmother Joyce Johnson of Constable; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of floral offerings, memorial contributions in Cody’s honor may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 25 Broadway 14 Floor, New York, NY 1004 or to the North Country Animal Shelter, 124 Bare Hill Road, Malone, NY 12953.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Flint Funeral Home, Moira. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. St. Mary’s Church, Brushton, with the Rev. Christopher Looby presiding; Cody will rest in the parish cemetery.
