DWAI DRUGS - POTSDAM - A Canton man was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs following an inciudent that occurred at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday in the village of Canton.

Massena-based state police arrested Dale W. Ashlaw, 45, of Canton at 5:21 p.m. Wednesday at Canton-Potsdam Hospital and chartged him with with driving while under the influence of drugs and ticketed him for a license restriction violation, making an unsafe turn and using a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle. He was released to appear at a later date in Canton Village Court.

PERSONAL INJURY ACCIDENT - MOIRA - Malone-based state police investigation an accident at 10:36 p.m. Wednesday on state Rouite 11, near Elmer Road, in the town of Moira that left one person injured. Troopers said the vehicle was being operated by Megan L. Latour, 20, of Potsdam.
