McDuffs-CJs will get its opportunity to have a rematch of last years North Country Mens Summer Soccer Association championship game on Sunday at SUNY Potsdam Turf field (5:30 p.m.) against Ogdensburg Pepsi-The Place after posting a semi-final win over Chips Place/The Lounge 4-0 on Wednesday. Ogdensburg Pepsi-The Place denied CKON Radio Fort Brickhouse Pizza 2-1 in Ogdensburg during the other semi-final on Wednesday. Ogdensburg won last years game at Kennedy School.
McDuffs-CJs 4, Chips Place 0: Adam Parker and Mark Howlett generated first half goals from, Mark Misiak who figured in all four goals for Potsdams McDuffs - CJs. Adam Divincenzo scored from Misiak and Howlett in the second half for a 3-0 lead and Misiak connected unassisted.
Ryan Seymour had 2 saves for Potsdam CJs shutout. Ben Steinburg had 8 saves for Potsdam Chps Place
Pepsi-Place 2 - CKOn-Fort Brickhouse 1: Grant Prodhomme continued to produce clutch goals for the Ogdensburg squad as he scored off a Connor Hannan cross to break a 1-1 tie in the 14th minute of the second half.
Pepsi-Place scored the only goal of the first half when Brian Sias converted a T.J. Hannan setup in the 42nd minute. CKON-Fort Brickhouse tied the game in the 12th minute of the second half on Tim Cook goal which was set up by Rob Chambers.
Bill Gemmill posted the goaltending win outduelling Ted Cook.
