POTSDAM - Dow Electric and The Lounge shared the North Country Women’s Soccer Playoff Championship on Thursday evening at SUNY Potsdam’s Route 56 field in a 2-2 deadlock.

Top seed The Lounge took a 1-0 lead in the contest with 18:10 left in the first half. Lacey Malbeuf would scored the Lounge’s second goal.

Stephanie Cox scored both Dow Electric goals - one on an own goal.

Playing for pride and a chance to take the trophy first, Dow Electric won the penalty kick shootout 4-3. Scoring for Dow were: Brooke Enslow, Nikki Perkins, Cox, and Makayla Cole. Kailia and Kasey Maguire and Alisha Tischler scored for The Lounge.

Stephanie Collins made nine saves for Dow. Kara Locey stopped 11 shots for The Lounge.
