DENMARK — A Deer River woman suffered minor injuries in a motorcycle crash shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday on Route 26 near Shack Road in the town of Lowville.

State police said Mary M. Jones, 60, of 10443 East Road, was hit by a deer while riding her motorcycle, causing her to be thrown off. She was taken to Lewis County General Hospital for treatment of a large cut to the right knee, police said.
