CANTON— A Massena company is suing a Winfield farm supply store, claiming they never paid for nearly $5,000 worth of wood pellets reportedly delivered in 2010.

In a lawsuit filed in late July in state Supreme Court, Curran Renewable Energy claims to have delivered 30 blended tons of wood pellets, which cost $190 each, and six tons of hardwood pellets, valued at $200 a ton, to Deak’s Farm & Home, but never received payment for their product.

The invoice included the lawsuit says the pellets were delivered and signed for on Dec. 16, 2010.

Discounts left the bill for the total transaction at $4,740, the amount plus interest Curran Renewable Energy seeks to recover from the farm supply store.

Attorney Mark F. Snider, of Massena, is representing Curran Renewable Energy.
