CANTON - Ladies Day at the SLU Golf and Country Club produced a spirited scramble. The game of the day was to pick either the front 9 holes or back 9 holes as your best scoring holes prior to play.

Following are the winners of their chosen 9 hole scores:

First flight: LG - Mary Ann Axtell - 41; LN - Lennie McKinnon - 37. Second flight: LG - Candy LaMacchia - 44; LN - Pam Sherburne - 37. Third flight: LG - Toleda Mathews - 50; LN - Laura Chambers - 33

On Tuesday, the Canton Ladies will be at Foothills Tournament in Ogdensburg with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Please signup in the Pro Shop or call Sandy Fadden if you wish to play in this event.

On August 28, the Canton Ladies will be having the annual Pink Lady Tournament.

“Get out your favorite pink clothes, hat, etc. if you wish to dress “in the pink” for this event,” said a spokesperson for the group.
