DWI - WINTHROP - Massena-based state police charged Matthew J. Seaver, 29, of Winthrop with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop at 3:25 a.m. Sunday on County Route 49 in the town of Stockholm. He was also charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and was ticketed for making an improper left turn, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle on a public highway and failure to wear his seatbelt.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - NORFOLK - Norfolk-based state police charged Edward S. Thompson, 51, of Colton with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance andcriminal possession of a hypodermic needle and ticketed him for a motorcycle face shield violation following a stop at 1:41 p.m. Sunday on West Main Street in Norfolk.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Dallas C. Delormier, 16, of Rooseveltown with unlawful possession of marijuana following a stop at 11:13 p.m. Saturday on state Route 37 in the town of Massena.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - WESTVILLE - Malone-based state police charged Justin E. Vollenweider, 31, of Queensbury with unlawful possession of marijuana and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 1:10 p.m. Sunday on state Route 122 in the town of Westville.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - AUSABLE - Plattsburgh-based state police investigated a one-vehicle property damage accident at 3:45 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 87, near Route 9N, in the town of Ausable. Troopers said the vehicle was operated by Maureen A. Mayville, 57, of Fort Covington.

BENCH WARRANT - BRASHER FALLS - Winthrop-based state police picked up Brian G. MacDonald, 44, of 124 Skinnerville Road, Winthrop, on a bench warrant Saturday for failure to pay fines for two snowmobile related convictions in Brasher Town Court. He was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and sent to the St. Lawerence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $365.
