CRIMINAL SEXUAL ACT - POTSDAM - St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department detectives charged Christopher P. McDonald, 40, of 310 May Road, Potsdam, with four felony counts of third-degree criminal sexual act and misdemeanor charges of first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and endangering the welfare of a child.

McDonald allegedly had sexual contact with a person under the age of 17 at a residence in the town of Potsdam sometime

in June or July and again in September 2011.

It is also alleged McDonald supplied alcoholic beverages to the same victim on these occasions.

McDonald was arraigned before town of Pierrepont Robert Camp and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $ 10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.

The investigation is continuing, and further charges are pending, investigators said.
