FIRST-DEGREE BURGLARY - NORWOOD An Ogdensburg man accused of a late July burglary was arrested by state police and jailed at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday.
Josh R. Hughes, 21, of New York Avenue, was charged with felony first-degree burglary.
Mr. Hughes is accused of breaking into a Norwood home, located on South Main Street, on June 30. The victim, whose name was not released, told police that Mr. Hughes pointed a gun at him and demanded money.
Its also alleged that the two fought, with the victim being pushed out of the residence. When he came back inside, he noticed his wallet, reportedly containing $4,550, was missing.
Mr. Hughes was arraigned in local court and sent to he St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.
