HEUVELTON— An Ogdensburg woman who crashed her car and then was transported to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg, was arrested by state police at 10:28 a.m. Thursday.

Katherine R. Beauchamp, 30, whose address was not released, was charged with first-degree operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor.

Ms. Beauchamp allegedly crashed about 100 feet from the Heuvelton Health Center, Rensselaer Street, shortly after 9:30 a.m. Thursday. She was treated for minor injuries, and officers charged her with the misdemeanor “based on her behavior.” She later submitted to a blood test to determine which drug she allegedly took, the results of which was unavailable, troopers said.

She was issued an appearance ticket and released.
