Plans to build a Nice N Easy convenience store off Route 11 across from Walmart in the town of LeRay have been scrapped.
Patrick J. Scordo, an engineer with GYMO Architecture, Engineering & Land Surveying P.C., Watertown, emailed town officials this month stating the plan has been nixed because of requirements for building a revised entrance.
Mr. Scordo wrote in the email that the company canceled because of stringent requirements and the significant infrastructure required by the town and the state Department of Transportation for the first phase of the project.
The DOT rejected the original proposal for a direct entrance to the store off Route 11.
Edward J. Valentine, who co-owns 11 Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes, did not return a phone call seeking comment.
