SANDY CREEK Two men and a woman were charged by state police Tuesday over a punch-throwing, knife-wielding and kitchen-pot-swinging brawl July 17 at a residence in the town of Sandy Creek.
Charged with second-degree menacing are James R. Button, 41, and Nicole L. Cronon, 35, both of 31 White Birches Drive, and Anthony J. Seifert, 62, of 5894 Route 11. They face prosecution in Sandy Creek Town Court.
Police said the disturbance occurred at the Button-Cronon residence. Mr. Seifert is accused of reaching into a vehicle being driven by Mr. Button to punch him. Mr. Button, meanwhile, allegedly threatened Mr. Seifert with a kitchen knife, and Ms. Cronon is accused of striking Mr. Seifert at least twice with the cooking pot, police said.
Undisclosed is what the fight was about.
