After halting a vehicle on Mill Street early Thursday because the driver allegedly failed to signal a turn, Watertown police officers said they found digital scales and four bags of cocaine in the auto.
Antwan D. Gathers, 28, of 43372 Route 37, Apt. B, was arrested at 2:20 a.m. in the 200 block of Mill Street on charges of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle. He also was cited with unlawful possession of marijuana, having a missing license plate and failure to signal the turn.
The seized cocaine was weighed at 3 grams, police said. Officers alleged that Mr. Gathers admitted he was selling cocaine at $25 per gram.
