Violet N. Hill, 85, of 22486 Willowbrook Drive, town of Pamelia, was listed in fair condition Thursday at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, after suffering fractures in both legs in an accident Tuesday afternoon near her home, according to state police.

A trooper reported that Mrs. Hill was northbound on Route 37 when shortly after 5 p.m. she began to make a left turn toward Willowbrook Drive. In doing so, she pulled into the path of a southbound pickup driven by Austin H. Erstad, 17, Baraboo, Wis., police said.

Mrs. Hill was cited with failure to yield right of way.
