■ WATSON — The Pine Grove Community Church Preservation Society will celebrate its 12th year with an annual meeting, open house and ice cream social at 2 p.m. Sunday in the historic church building at Pine Grove and Austin roads in the town of Watson.

■ The Cape Vincent Correctional Facility’s inmates have donated 60 bucket gardens of tomato and green pepper plants to the Community Action Planning Council of Jefferson County’s food pantry. The buckets were made as part of the prison’s community garden initiative.
