Rep. Bill Owens' ever-dependable flack is leaving the office effective Aug. 31 for a job at a private-sector PR firm.
Sean Magers has been helping reporters inform readers about goings-on in Washington since Mr. Owens was first elected in 2009. He's been a trustworthy and congenial resource, always with a joke or to get Mr. Owens, D-Plattsburgh, on the phone.
Jon Boughtin, who was the legislative director and served as press secretary during the 2009 special, is taking over for Mr. Magers.
