■ MARTINSBURG — The town Planning Board will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the town office on Cemetery Road to consider an application for an in-home gun repair shop on Route 12.

n OGDENSBURG — Deborah L. Aldrich, 920 Ford St., and United Helpers Management Co., 732 Ford St., have been recognized by the Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce for improvements to their property and their effect on the city’s image.

n CARTHAGE — The Wilna/Carthage Democratic Committee will caucus at 7:10 p.m. Aug. 29, at the American Legion, 415 West St., to nominate candidates for the following offices, all four-year terms: Village Court justice, Town Court justice and two village trustee positions.
