CANTON Murder suspect Dustin J. Trimm pleaded not guilty to unrelated sexual charges Monday morning in St. Lawrence County Court.
Trimm, 37, of 325 County Route 49, Winthrop, was indicted by a St. Lawrence County grand jury on Aug. 9 on two felony counts of disseminating indecent material to a minor, two misdemeanor counts of third-degree patronizing a prostitute and one misdemeanor count each of first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and endangering the welfare of a child.
He is accused of sending text messages in which he offered a 16-year-old boy $50 to perform oral sex on him on May 13 and 14, as well as providing the boy with vodka.
Trimm, who is also accused of murdering 21-year-old Jason Wing in the summer of 2010, allegedly sent the text messages to the boy while he was free from jail. His father posted $250,000 bail in early April.
Trimm is accused of shooting Mr. Wing to death and burying his body on Grantville Road near Raymondville. State police found Mr. Wings remains in February 2011.
Judge Jerome J. Richards issued a no-contact order of protection in favor of the 16-year-old boy.
Trimm was transported back to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility after his arraignment hearing, where he remains held without bail on the second-degree murder charge.
