Henry R. Nadeau


Massena: Henry “Hank” R. Nadeau, 84, of Highland Ave. Massena, passed away on August 27, 2012 at Massena Memorial Hospital. Born on August 20, 1928 in Ogdensburg, NY the son on Alphe and Mary (Deshaies) Nadeau. He was a graduate of Massena High School. Henry proudly served in the Marine Corps during the European Theater during World War II and he re-enlisted and served in the Korean War . Following discharge he married Patricia Trombino on November 10, 1951. He was employed at Alcoa working as clerk until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the VFW Post 1143, American Legion Post #79, DAV, Marine Corps League, Korean Veterans Association, Am Vets Post #4, Knights of Columbus Council #1141. Henry is survived by his wife Patricia, his children, David of Massena; Mary Kay and husband Robert Halstead of Massena, Steven of Massena, a granddaughter Michele and Kevin Smith, three great grandchildren, Kailee, Lia Paige, and Ava Smith, a sister Madeline Greene of Massena, and a brother, John Nadeau of CA., aunts, uncles and cousins. At the family’s request memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Mass of Resurrection with full Military Honors will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 12:00 pm at Church of the Sacred Heart in Massena. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends and family may call on August 30, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. The Am Vets, Amerian Legion, VFW will hold a joint service at 7:15 pm, and the Knights of Columbus will meet at 7:30 pm. Online condolences may be made to
