The following were charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:
■ Gregory W. Perry, 26, Athens, Ohio, was charged by state police shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday on Route 11 in Gouverneur after being stopped for having a broken headlight. His blood alcohol content was listed as 0.17 percent. A BAC level of 0.08 percent or more is considered proof of intoxication under state law. His passenger, Corey J. Ringhiser, 22, Logan, Ohio, was charged with possession of a hypodermic needle and unlawful possession of marijuana. Both were sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, in lieu of $2,500 cash bail.
■ Michael G. Sovie, 48, Ogdensburg, was charged by state police at 3:40 a.m. Wednesday. Police said that while they were responding to a domestic incident at a residence on Mary Manor Drive, Waddington, they saw Mr. Sovie flee the scene in his vehicle. A trooper detected a strong odor of alcohol while interviewing Mr. Sovie, who failed several sobriety tests, police said. His BAC was listed as 0.13 percent.
