CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - LISBON - St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies charged Charles J. Roemer, 29, of 131 Maple St., Apt. 2, Potsdam, with second-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree stalking following an incident Thursday.

He was arraigned by Potsdam Acting Village Justice Margaret Garner and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility pending further court proceedings.

He allegedly violated a Family Court order of protection by sending several text messages, many of a harassing nature, to his ex-girlfriend.
